How It Works

Set up in 10 minutes. See recovery by tomorrow.

One simple loop runs the whole platform: an athlete checks in, a recovery score appears instantly, the coach’s dashboard lights up, and the coach acts. Here’s how the pieces fit — and the science underneath them.

Getting started

Three steps from signup to insight.

No hardware to install, no spreadsheets to migrate. Create your structure, hand out a code, and the data starts flowing the next morning.

01

Create your school & teams

Set up the school, add your first team, and invite coaches. Every team you create is issued its own unique 6-character join code — the only thing an athlete needs to get in.

  • Add school, sport & season status
  • Spin up one team or twenty
  • Coaches join by invite link

02

Athletes join with a code

Athletes sign in, type the 6-character code, and complete their first wellness check-in — under 20 seconds. Age gates run automatically so you stay compliant without thinking about it.

  • Enter code → instant team access
  • Under-18s require parental/guardian consent
  • No data recorded until consent is granted

03

Coaches monitor & act

By the next morning, team recovery %, flagged athletes and ACWR alerts land on the coach dashboard. From there it’s one tap to assign a recovery program or build an athlete’s development plan.

  • Team recovery % & check-in count
  • Flagged athletes surfaced daily
  • Assign programs & build IDPs

The daily loop

One check-in. Four moves. Every day.

The whole platform is a loop that closes in minutes. An athlete answers eleven questions before practice, and a chain of events ends with the coach knowing exactly who to rest, push, or check on.

1

Athlete checks in

11 questions across 4 steps — sleep, energy, soreness map, wellbeing. Under 20 seconds.

2

Recovery score appears

Instantly, on the athlete’s own dashboard — a 0–100% score, color-coded by zone.

Coach dashboard updates

A banner shows who’s checked in; an AI insight flags who needs attention — generated daily.

Coach acts

Rest the athlete, assign a recovery program, or send a message — then the loop begins again tomorrow.

Message: "Light day, hydrate"

The loop closes in minutes — and repeats every single day the athlete trains.

The science, briefly

Three numbers do the heavy lifting.

Everything an athlete sees rolls up from three calculations. None of them require a sports scientist to read — but each is grounded in one.

Recovery Score

How recovered is this athlete, today?

Composed from 7 wellness metrics plus the body soreness map collected in the daily check-in. Returned as a single percentage from 0 to 100%, color-coded by zone so an athlete or coach reads it at a glance.

Training Drain

How costly was that session?

One number per session, derived from how long it ran and how hard it felt. RPE is the athlete’s Rate of Perceived Exertion on a 1–10 scale. These per-session totals feed the ACWR windows.

Is the workload spiking?

The Acute:Chronic Workload Ratio compares a rolling 7-day acute load against a 28-day chronic baseline. Sit in the 0.8–1.3 optimal band; an alert fires for athlete and coach the moment it crosses 1.5.

Roles & structure

School, teams, coaches, athletes.

The hierarchy mirrors how an athletic program actually runs. A school holds many teams, each team has its coaches and its athletes, and the data rolls up cleanly between them.

  • Coaches join by invite. They get the coach interface — 6 pages of team monitoring, programs, plans and chat.
  • Athletes join by team code. They get the athlete interface — 7 pages built around their own recovery and development.
  • Multi-team athletes roll up. Play on a school team and a club? Training load from both teams combines into one ACWR.
  • Two interfaces, one shell. Athlete and coach views are separate but share the same dark-navy sidebar layout.

Guided onboarding

A checklist that walks you in.

New coaches don’t land on an empty dashboard. A five-step Getting Started checklist tracks setup progress and tells you exactly what to do next — until you’ve closed your first full loop.

  1. 1.Team created — the moment you finish setup.
  2. 2.First athlete joined — once someone enters your code.
  3. 3.First wellness check-in — your first real data point.
  4. 4.Review team recovery — read the dashboard you just lit up.
  5. 5.Assign first recovery program — close the loop and act.

Built for schools

Compliant by design, not as a checkbox.

Working with minors means the guardrails come first. Age gates, data boundaries and retention limits are wired into the product, so doing the right thing is the default.

Privacy Act aligned

Student data is handled under the Australian Privacy Act and its Privacy Principles.

Consent for minors

Student-athletes under 18 require verified parental or guardian consent before any data is recorded.

Wellness ≠ Medical

Check-in data is wellness, not a medical record — a boundary kept explicit throughout.

12-month retention

Chat messages auto-archive at 12 months, with reminders not to share personal info.

Set up today. See recovery tomorrow.

Ten minutes to create your school and teams. One code to hand out. By tomorrow morning, your dashboard is reading the whole squad.
